Shipping Policy


How much will shipping cost?

Shipping costs vary by item. Some items are small while others are large. The cost will be shown on your cart. While I do have fixed rates for most items, larger pieces fluctuate with destination. I will let you know the cost ahead of shipping. Sometimes, the rate might be lower than anticipated. Be assured that I ALWAYS return any shipping overages to you, the client. This has always been my practice.

Painted Snowflakes ships by Canada Post in Canada and USPS in the USA. If you are elsewhere it will be by your postal system. I do not use couriers, Fed EX,UPS  or Purolator unless you request it.

How long does it take to receive my package?

Most items are made to order. That can take up to a week. Pieces need to sit 24-48 hours depending on humidity levels before heat setting.

Shipping during the Covid Crisis has been very unpredictable.  Presently, it averages 3 weeks to ship to a US address. Many times it takes far longer. It is advised to order in advance and please be patient. If you need it by a certain date, let me know and I will see what I can do.

You will receive confirmation that your order has been shipped and provided with the tracking number. You can track your parcel through Canada Post and USPS websites.

The value in Canadian Dollars will be reflected on your customs declarations. The cost of shipping covers ONLY the shipping not any VAT fees or duties or taxes. Those expenses are the responsibility of the consumer.


My package hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Nothing is more frustrating.  The post office requires the recipient to contact them and advise them. They will ask for the tracking number which was provided with the shipping confirmation.

Refunds or replacements cannot be given for lost or damaged items. All tracked items are covered by insurance. Once the post office determines the outcome of the parcel, they will contact me and pay the insurance. I can then send you the replacement. GLASS PIECES ARE AN EXCEPTION

Glass is not insurable. If your order arrives broken or damaged, please send photos of the damage to Painted Snowflakes I will make you a new piece if available. I will ask you to cover the additional shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Absolutely. Painted Snowflake products are all around the world. Shipping costs are higher than in North America. While there is a base amount attached to international orders, if it is over the amount required, it will be refunded. Likewise, if it does not cover that required cost, I will contact you and let you know the actual cost.

Return & Exchange Policy

You changed your mind.

No worries. Let me know within 24 hours of placing your order. I'll can cancel it and refund your money. It's that easy.  Custom orders, are not refundable. But talk to me, if I haven't started yet, we can usually work something out. 

While Painted Snowflakes, doesn't offer returns, I will do whatever I can to make things right. If you are unhappy, let me know.

Glass is NOT insurable. That's why I do my best in wrapping.

If something arrives broken,, send me photos. I will replace it if I can, or refund you the price of the item.  I will ask you to pay the shipping.


Glass MUST be hand washed. Please don't ever put it in a dishwasher. no matter what someone tells you, glass paint will not stand up over time to high heat and the cleaning agents found in dishwasher soap.
